Remember the Why

As you drag yourself out of bed in the morning, remember why you are getting up in the first place.

As you feel your frustration rise as you get closer to work, remember why you are walking through those doors.

As you stand in the midst of dealing with a difficult person, remember why you are standing there at all.

Life is hard. It can be crushing at times. But don't forget about why you are doing it. We all have our reasons.

It's easy to give in or give up. It's easy to forget and hard to remember.

But you have to do the hard things. You have to push through the resistance and remember something deep in your core.

Why.

As you feel the urge to scream while you're making supper for your family, remember why you've been trusted with it.

As you cringe at returning emails in the evening, remember there is a living being on the other side of it with dreams and worries just like you.

As you remember that one last thing you have to do before you go to bed, remember why you got up in the first place.
